About the Role:
Join our Bangalore-based engineering team as a Software Tester, where you'll apply your manual testing expertise and foundational Java knowledge to validate software functionality, report issues, and contribute to delivering reliable products.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute manual test cases based on requirements
Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to reproduce and resolve issues
Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing
Maintain and update test documentation, test plans, and test scripts
Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality feedback
Required Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and test case design
Basic knowledge of Java programming for test case understanding
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC)
Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent
Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium)
Basic SQL knowledge for database validation
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes
Experience in cross-browser and mobile testing
