Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Tester
**About the Role:**
We are seeking an entry-level Software Tester to join our Bangalore team. In this role, you will work closely with developers and QA engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
**Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and desktop applications
- Collaborate with developers to understand features and create comprehensive test plans
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Participate in regression, performance, and integration testing
- Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases and test reports
- Support continuous testing and integration efforts in an Agile environment
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in software testing or relevant internships/projects
- Proficiency in Java for writing and executing test scripts
- Proficiency in C for test case development and debugging
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies
- Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, or TestNG
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
