
Product Manager – HIS & Ecosystem Integrations

Role Purpose
The Product Manager for HIS Integrations is responsible for delivering seamless, secure, and scalable integrations across Bupa Arabia’s healthcare ecosystem by translating integration strategy into execution. This role manages the product lifecycle of integration capabilities, APIs, and middleware that connect Bupa Arabia with B2B partners including hospitals, polyclinics, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic centers, medical equipment and devices vendors, third-party administrators (TPAs), HIS/EMR vendors, regulators, payment partners, and internal core systems enabling end-to-end journeys across eligibility, pre-authorization, claims, clinical data exchange, e-prescriptions, lab orders/results, device data, and member experiences.
The role holder acts as a liaison between business, technology, and external partners, ensuring every integration delivers measurable value to members, providers, and the business. The role collaborates closely with integration engineering, operations, healthcare partners, regulators, and compliance teams to bring integration products to market efficiently ensuring they are reliable, performant, observable, secure, and compliant with interoperability and regulatory standards.
1. Lead Integration Strategy and Roadmap
• Translate integration vision into a clear, prioritized roadmap and backlog.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and prioritize based on impact and feasibility.
• Align the roadmap with Bupa Arabia’s digital strategy and member experience goals.
• Translate NPHIES, FHIR, HL7, and Saudi billing standards into clear product features.
• Maintain the API catalog and reusable integration patterns.
2. Drive B2B Healthcare Provider Integrations
• Own integrations with hospitals, pharmacies, labs, and medical equipment vendors.
• Deliver e-prescription, lab order/result, and device data flows end-to-end.
• Set integration SLAs related to Service fulfillment , clinical accuracy , data integrity and member experience.
• Liaise with HIS/EMR and third party vendors to keep delivery on track.
3. Own Middleware, Regulatory and Internal Ecosystem Integrations
• Deliver regulator-mandated integrations (NPHIES, CCHI, MOH, ZATCA) on time.
• Connect internal systems core insurance, claims, CRM, finance, and digital channels.
• Champion API-first design, versioning, and reusable services across the estate.
• Ensure all integrations meet PDPL, ISO 27001, and clinical safety standards.
4. Lead Day-to-Day Delivery and Optimize Performance
• Drive sprints, backlog refinement, and feature definition with Agile teams.
• Ensure clarity on scope, acceptance criteria, SLAs, and delivery timelines.
• Resolve blockers and own UAT, partner onboarding, and go-live readiness.
• Monitor KPIs transaction success, latency, uptime, NPHIES acceptance, NPS.
• Propose enhancements based on analytics, incident trends, and user feedback.
5. Manage Stakeholder Communication and Alignment
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure operational teams are prepared for launches, onboarding waves, and changes.
• Provide structured updates to the Product Lead and key business stakeholders.
• Act as single point of contact for partners, vendors, and regulators.
• Share learnings and best practices across product and technology peers.
• Solid working knowledge of healthcare ecosystem integrations including B2B integrations with pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic centers, hospitals, medical equipment/IoMT vendors, TPAs, and HIS/EMR platforms.
• Strong understanding of healthcare integration concepts.
• Familiarity with payer–provider workflows: eligibility, pre-authorization, claims submission and adjudication, e-prescriptions, lab orders/results, and clinical/device data exchange.
• Ability to translate partner, regulatory, and business requirements into clear, actionable integration product requirements, API specifications, and user stories.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills across business, technology, clinical, vendor, and regulatory audiences.
• Adaptable and proactive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and regulated environments.
• Collaborative mindset and work closely with HIS Product Managers team and proven ability to work cross-functionally with diverse teams, including third-party HIS/EMR, pharmacy, lab, and medical equipment vendors.

Years of Experience
• 5 – 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a Product Management, Integration Product Owner, or Solution/Integration Consultant role within healthcare, health insurance, or healthcare technology.
• Demonstrable experience delivering B2B integrations with pharmacies, labs, medical equipment vendors, regulators, and/or HIS/EMR platforms.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Business Administration, or a related field.
