Scope of Work
This interim advisor will handle the heavy lifting specifically mapping our core process value chain, defining our risk appetite, and structuring our predictive, AI-driven risk models. This ensures that when our permanent hire arrives, he inherit a highly functional, well-structured ecosystem rather than starting from absolute scratch. We are seeking an experienced, high caliber risk advisor on an immediate term to rapidly design, build, and launch our foundational Enterprise Risk Management function. This role requires a strategic thinker who can seamlessly bridge the gap between abstract risk theory and practical corporate execution, tailoring the entire framework to our organizational value chain and advanced technological footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
· Map the organization’s end-to-end value chain and core processes to ensure the risk taxonomy directly reflects how the business generates value. And stablish a clean, multilevel risk hierarchy L1 (Strategic, Operational, Financial, Compliance, and Technology Risk) and L2&L3 detailed subcategories designed to drive accountability and distinct ownership without introducing administrative complexity.
· Map risk categories to the existing organizational structure, corporate values, and lines of accountability, ensuring every identified risk has a clear executive owner.
· Review the taxonomy for logical gaps, functional overlaps, and duplicate labels to ensure a clean data model.
· Embedded the taxonomy into daily business operations by explicitly linking it to internal controls, risk events, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), reporting lines, and the overall risk appetite.
· Build a comprehensive assessment matrix utilizing four critical risk dimensions (Likelihood, Impact/Severity, Velocity, Interdependency).
· Create a unified scoring model that synthesizes these dimensions into actionable risk ratings (Low, Medium, High, Critical).
· Establish clear guidelines for three tiers of assessment (Qualitative, Semi-Quantitative, Quantitative).
· Design and document the formal ERM lifecycle process flow (Establish Context, Risk Identification, Risk Analysis, Risk Evaluation, Risk Treatment, Monitoring & Review, Communication & Reporting).
· Design the blueprints for integrating AI-driven tools into the ERM program, enabling predictive risk identification rather than purely retrospective reporting.
• Formulate requirements for NLP tools to automated risk sensing.
• Conceptualize early warning systems and automated KRI tracking dashboards driven by AI to flag threshold breaches in real time.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Active Consultant, Manager, or Senior Manager (Risk Advisory, ERM).
• Deep, practical knowledge of global risk standards (COSO ERM Framework, ISO 31000).
• Proven capability in quantitative modeling (Monte Carlo, VaR) and a strong conceptual grasp of how AI/ML models can optimize risk management.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a track record of advising executive teams and translating complex risk data into business strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to build structured corporate programs from the ground up within tight, high-pressure timelines.
