Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester based in Bangalore to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to design, execute, and document test plans and cases, identify defects, and help maintain high standards throughout the SDLC.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for new and existing features
Document test results and report defects, tracking them through resolution
Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
Maintain clear and comprehensive test documentation
Participate in bug triage meetings and provide timely feedback
Verify bug fixes and validate software improvements
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
Required Qualifications:
0–5 years of hands-on manual testing experience
Proficiency in manual testing methodologies and defect tracking
Basic programming knowledge in C, C++, Java, and Python to develop test scenarios
Experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL, and writing SQL queries
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification
Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA
Exposure to performance and load testing tools
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
