**Job Title:** Software Tester
**About the Role:**
We are seeking an entry-level Software Tester to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers to design and execute test plans for Java and C applications, ensuring high quality and reliability across our software products.
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for Java and C applications
- Log, track, and verify defects using a bug tracking system
- Perform regression, integration, and system testing
- Document test results and provide clear status reports
- Participate in test planning, estimation, and review sessions
- Assist in maintaining and improving test processes and best practices
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in software testing or related internships
- Basic programming skills in Java and C
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium or JUnit
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Basic SQL and database testing experience
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
