C++/Linux Software Engineer – Marine Defence Platform

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Contract: 12 months, with potential extension or permanent absorption

Role Overview

We are hiring five C++/Linux Software Engineers to support the development of a complex marine defence platform for SAMI.

The role will operate within a secure, offline development environment. Candidates must therefore have strong, hands-on C++ programming expertise and be comfortable solving complex technical problems without relying on AI coding tools or online resources.

The successful candidates will work on advanced, mission-critical software applications related to defence and marine combat systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and maintain complex applications using C++.
Develop and support software within Linux and Red Hat environments.
Work on mission-critical and safety-sensitive software systems.
Contribute to applications involving combat management, radar, onboard sensors, missile defence, flight detection and attack systems.
Troubleshoot complex software, performance and integration issues.
Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews and system testing.
Work within a secure and fully offline development environment.
Collaborate with systems, hardware and integration engineering teams.
Complete a technical assessment as part of the interview process.

Candidate Requirements

Saudi National.
Strong commercial experience in C++ software development.
Strong Linux experience, preferably within Red Hat environments.
Deep understanding of C++ fundamentals, including:
- Object-oriented programming
- Memory management
- Multithreading and concurrency
- Data structures and algorithms
- Performance optimisation
- Debugging and troubleshooting
