Software Tester

**Job Title:** Software Tester **About the Role:** We are seeking an entry-level Software Tester based in Bangalore to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will work closely with developers and stakeholders to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure our products meet high standards of reliability and performance. **Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute manual and automated test cases based on requirements - Design and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test data - Log, track, and report defects using issue tracking tools - Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues - Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing - Participate in daily stand-ups and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes - Document test results and provide clear, actionable feedback **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - 0-2 years of experience in software testing or QA - Proficiency in Java and C programming for test automation - Understanding of software testing methodologies and lifecycle - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) - Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) - Exposure to Agile/Scrum development processes - Basic understanding of SQL and database testing - ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
