Job Description
**Job Title:** Quantity Surveyor
**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Riyadh. In this role, you will manage costs across construction and engineering projects, ensuring value for money, compliance with regulations, and high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation
- Conduct cost control, value engineering, and budget forecasting
- Administer contracts, negotiate with contractors and suppliers, and manage variations
- Monitor project financial performance and report on cost-related issues
- Liaise with architects, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders
- Perform risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with Saudi building regulations and international standards
- Maintain accurate records and prepare regular cost reports
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying on large-scale construction projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Strong technical knowledge of cost estimation, billing procedures, and contract administration
- Proficiency with quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Quantity Takeoff)
- Excellent understanding of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and standards
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Chartered membership with RICS or an equivalent professional body
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes
- Familiarity with procurement strategies and tender evaluation
- Proven track record in value engineering and cost optimization
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
