Data Science Intern

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Data Science Intern to join our Hyderabad team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to collect, process, and analyze data to uncover insights and support data-driven decision making. You will gain hands-on experience building predictive models, creating visualizations, and working with real-world datasets under the mentorship of experienced data scientists.

Responsibilities:
Assist in gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
Perform exploratory data analysis and generate actionable insights
Develop and validate statistical and machine learning models to solve business problems
Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences
Document methodologies, code, and results in clear and reproducible formats
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production pipelines
Present analysis and recommendations to stakeholders in Hyderabad and remote locations

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
0–5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related role
Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
Understanding of fundamental machine learning algorithms and statistical concepts
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Tableau
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Hadoop
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Knowledge of deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Prior internship or project experience in a data science or analytics role
Understanding of data engineering concepts and ETL processes
Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions
