**Job Title:** Manual Tester **About the Role:** We are seeking an entry-level Manual Tester to join our QA team in Bangalore. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by executing test plans, identifying defects, and validating fixes. This role offers a great opportunity to grow your testing skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. **Responsibilities:** - Develop, execute, and maintain manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications - Perform functional, regression, and integration testing on web and desktop applications - Validate back-end data using SQL queries to ensure data integrity - Log, track, and verify defects using defect-tracking tools - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues - Participate in requirement reviews, status meetings, and retrospectives - Prepare clear and concise test reports and documentation **Required Qualifications:** - 0–2 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing - Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation (technical) - Basic understanding of Java programming concepts for analyzing application behavior (technical) - Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills (non-technical) - Excellent verbal and written communication skills (non-technical) - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field **Preferred Qualifications:** - ISTQB Foundation Level certification (technical) - Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla (technical) - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies (non-technical) - Basic knowledge of automation frameworks like Selenium (technical) - High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment (non-technical)
