Senior Software Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our San Francisco team. In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based microservices using the Spring framework and deploy them on Kubernetes. You will drive best practices, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across product, design, and operations to deliver high‐quality software solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful microservices using Java and Spring Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to define, design, and ship new features Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability and performance Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers Optimize system components for performance, scalability, and reliability Required Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Expert proficiency in Java and object‐oriented design principles Strong experience with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) Hands‐on experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience) Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and microservices architecture Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Docker and containerization best practices Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field Contributions to open source projects or active participation in technical communities
