Lead Developer
Oracle XStore (v21 and above) & SIOCS
Role Summary:
The Lead Developer is responsible for hands-on development and technical leadership across Oracle XStore POS (v21 and above) and SIOCS and Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) ensuring high-quality extensions, integrations, and customizations aligned with Oracle standards. This role mentors’ developers, and acts as the primary technical contributor alongside the SI team.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead development of XStore extensions, customer services and integrations
· Build and support services integrating XStore and SIOCS with RDS.
· Develop data extraction, transformation, and validation logic for RDS
· Review and validate SI partner code
· Develop and support POS customizations and services including UI extensions, business logic and Integration services
· Resolve SIT/UAT defects and performance issues
· Ensure code quality, security, and upgrade compatibility
· Support Go-Live and Hypercare activities
· Collaborating with architect on design
· Maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
· Oracle XStore POS development & extensions
· Oracle SIOCS / SIM APIs and services
· Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) – querying and integration
· Data synchronization with POS and Merchandising
· Java (mandatory), Spring / Spring Boot
· Oracle APEX, ADF, JET, OIC, ODI and (OBIEE for reports)
· REST/SOAP, XML, JSON
· SQL (Oracle), Git
· POS transaction lifecycle knowledge (sale, return, tender)
· Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
· 7–10 years development experience
· 5+ years Oracle Retail / POS projects
· Retail domain knowledge is added advantage (Sales, returns, voids, refunds, Tender handling, Promotions and discounts, Inventory movements and adjustments)
