Manual Tester

**Job Title:** Manual Tester **About the Role:** We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our dynamic QA team in Bangalore. You will design and execute manual test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, strong knowledge of MySQL and Java, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. **Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand feature requirements - Design detailed manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts - Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and system testing - Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools - Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing - Maintain and update test documentation - Generate test reports and metrics to communicate test progress and results - Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback to stakeholders **Required Qualifications:** - 2-3 years of experience in manual software testing - Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries using MySQL - Basic understanding of Java to create simple test scripts and understand application logic - Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle and methodologies - Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Quality Center) - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field **Preferred Qualifications:** - ISTQB Foundation Level certification - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments - Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) - Basic experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium) - Knowledge of performance testing tools - Strong understanding of database concepts and query optimization
