
JOB TITLE: TECHNICIAN

Job Purpose
To perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, modification, testing, and
assembly of aircraft components (window shade) in accordance with approved
maintenance data- CMM, SSM, company procedures, and quality standards. The
Technician is responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely,
accurately, and efficiently while maintaining full regulatory compliance, product quality,
airworthiness, and operational reliability. The role also supports continuous
improvement, safety initiatives, and effective collaboration to achieve production and
turnaround time objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities for Technician
➢ Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, inspection, assembly, modification, and
functional testing of aircraft components within the organization's approved
capability.
➢ Carry out maintenance activities using approved maintenance data, including
Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Service Shop Manuals (SSM), Service
Bulletins (SB) and other approved technical documentation.
➢ Inspect components to determine serviceability, identify defects, and perform
corrective actions using approved methods and procedures.
➢ Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with GCAA CAR-145
requirements, the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), company
procedures, and quality standards.
➢ Use only approved materials, parts, calibrated tools, test equipment, and
workshop facilities during maintenance activities.
➢ Complete maintenance documentation, inspection records, work orders, and
component history records accurately to ensure full traceability and regulatory
compliance.
➢ Maintain identification, segregation, and handling of serviceable, unserviceable,
scrap components in accordance with company procedures.
➢ Report defects, discrepancies, maintenance errors, damaged tooling,
equipment malfunctions, and any condition affecting safety or product quality to
the Maintenance manager.
➢ Maintain compliance with Human Factors, Safety Management System (SMS),
Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, tool control requirements.
➢ Ensure proper handling, storage, preservation, packaging, and protection of
aircraft components throughout the maintenance process.
➢ Support internal and external / internal audits, quality inspections,
investigations, and corrective/ preventive action activities.
➢ Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with
workshop housekeeping standards.
➢ Collaborate effectively with Maintenance manager, Certifying Staff, Inspectors,
Planning, Stores, and Quality personnel to achieve production, quality, and
turnaround time objectives.
➢ Perform maintenance only within the scope of personal competence, training,
and company authorization, escalating any task beyond personal limitations.
➢ Immediately report any occurrence, hazard, or condition that may compromise
safety, regulatory compliance, product quality, or airworthiness.
➢ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by promoting best repair and
maintenance practices, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and a
strong safety culture.
➢ Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Maintenance
Manager or delegated authority in accordance with company procedures and
GCAA CAR-145 requirements.
