Software Tester

**Job Title:** Software Tester **About the Role:** We are seeking an entry-level Software Tester based in Bangalore to join our quality assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of software applications through manual and automated testing. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. **Responsibilities:** - Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and non-functional testing - Perform manual testing and document defects in bug tracking tools - Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and C - Collaborate with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects - Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback on testability - Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports - Ensure compliance with QA processes and best practices - Provide regular status updates on testing progress to project stakeholders **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - 0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance - Proficiency in Java programming for test automation - Working knowledge of C for test script development - Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies - Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies - Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing - Exposure to performance and load testing tools - ISTQB or equivalent QA certification - Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins
