Senior web developer

**Job Title:** Senior web developer **About the Role:** We are seeking a Senior Web Developer based in Jeddah to lead the design and development of high-performance web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions using modern technologies, enforce security best practices, and mentor junior developers to drive our projects forward. **Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React JS - Architect and implement microservices to support modular, scalable back-end systems - Build and consume GraphQL APIs for efficient data fetching - Optimize and manage SQL and NoSQL database schemas and queries - Enforce security best practices throughout the development lifecycle - Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software - Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning - Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance and scalability issues in production environments **Required Qualifications:** - 7+ years of professional web development experience - Expert proficiency in React JS and related ecosystem (Redux, Hooks) - Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architectures - Hands-on experience building and consuming GraphQL APIs - Advanced knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) - Proficiency with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) - Solid understanding of web application security practices (OWASP, authentication, authorization) - Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) - Experience with performance monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, ELK Stack) - Strong communication skills in English and Arabic - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
