Solution / Technical Architect - Jeddah

Oracle Retail XStore (v21 and above) & SIOCS v23+

Role Summary:

The Solution / Technical Architect will own the end-to-end technical architecture for Oracle XStore POS and SIM16 upgrade to SIOCS v25 integrated with RMFCS v25 and other systems and Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS), ensuring scalable, secure, and Oracle-compliant solutions cope with future upgrades. This role governs SI partner designs and acts as the technical authority for SIOCS, POS and store systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define overall architecture for Xstore, SIOCS and Retail Data Store (RDS) and other integrated systems.
• Define the design of data flows from XStore and SIOCS into RDS
• Define / Design reporting and extension strategy leveraging RDS for custom component development.
• Define and validate application and integration architecture.
• Review and confirm SI partner technical designs, customizations and extension frameworks.
• Design integration flows with ERP, Merchandising, Loyalty, Payments, E-commerce, Clix (eXtra), TMS and Planogram solution, Invoice Automation, RMFCS and Fusion.
• Ensure minimal customization and Oracle best-practice compliance
• Govern code quality standards & environment strategy (DEV/SIT/UAT/PROD)
• Define non-functional requirements (performance, security, availability)
• Oversee environments, deployments, and release strategy
• Act as technical escalation points during Design, Build, SIT, UAT, Go-Live, Hypercare.



Required Skills & Experience

• Oracle XStore POS (architecture, extensions, XStore Office)
• Oracle SIM / SIOCS architecture and services
• Oracle Retail Data Store (RDS) architecture and usage
• SIM to SIOCS upgrade considerations
• Spring Framework (for services/integrations)
• REST/SOAP services, Webhook, Table / DB based integration architecture.
• POS integrations (payments, loyalty, pricing)
• SQL (Oracle DB), Linux basics, APEX
• Handheld, Printer.
• Integration with Identity Management.
• CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
• 10+ years Oracle Retail / POS / SIM / SIOCS related experience.
• 5+ years as Solution / Technical Architect
• Strong stakeholder and SI governance experience
• Retail domain knowledge is added advantage (Sales, returns, voids, refunds, Tender handling, Promotions and discounts, Inventory movements and adjustments)
